2016년 9월 9일부터 10월 9일까지 기고자의 아홉 번째 기획 전시 이희준 개인전 《Interior nor Exterior: Prototype》이 열립니다. 이희준 작가가 2015년부터 진행해온 회화 연작 <Interior nor Exterior> 초기의 회화 및 드로잉 작품으로 구성된 이번 전시는 작가의 국내 첫 개인전으로, 기존의 구상 회화 작업에서 추상적 평면 작업으로의 전환점에 해당하는 조형적 실험들을 선보입니다. 일상 속에서 접하는 건축적 환경의 미적 조형성에 대한 관심에서 시작된 이번 연작에서 작가는 내부도 외부도 아닌 평면적 가상의 공간을 통해 조형적 구조와 표면의 감각으로 이루어진 회화적 세계를 보여주고자 합니다.

KIGOJA is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Heejoon Lee. The presenting artworks are including an early formative experiment from the transition of the artist’s painting practices entitled <Interior nor Exterior>. In this work of series, the artist aims to show his oeuvre contextualized a formative structure and a sensory surface with the virtual and flat space which is neither interior nor exterior.
